Let me just start by saying I dig the payments space. What’s not to love? The picks and shovels of all modern economic activity. There’s a reason Stripe’s stated mission is “to increase the GDP of the internet.” With more emerging markets coming online, the developing world’s rising middle class, corporations’ revenues swelling, both consumer and business spending has never been more interesting.
